Historically, September has ushered in the fall market and typically brought increased sales momentum with it. However, this year, resale activity compressed over the month as buyers and sellers reconciled with changing values stemming from inflation and rising interest rates.
Kelowna is not only a great place to live, but also a great place to invest. It is rapidly growing beyond a long-weekend destination into a metropolitan center with sustainable population growth.
When looking at the numbers coming out of August 2022, the team is beginning to see the dust settle in British Columbia’s real estate markets. Though still falling below the 10-year average, resales in August improved from a historical perspective relative to what we saw in June and July.
On October 15th, British Columbians in municipalities across the province will go to their local poll stations to select 10 new (or returning) councillors as well as a new or returning mayor.
